Construction
One piece design with notched shoulders and a seamless chin area provides for more comfort. Seams are stitched with a six thread cover stitch using 100% Nomex thread, all edges are bound with binding using a double locked stitch and then bartacked. Together these features provide the ultimate in strength and durability. The face opening is reinforced with 3/8 inch elastic and will easily clear a SCBA mask. NFPA certified.

The DAF-S3 is manufactured from a Kevlar/Rayon Blend with a two piece double ply head and bib section design which offers additional protection to neck, shoulder and upper chest areas. Seams are sewn using six thread cover stitch and 100% Nomex thread. All edges are bound with binding using double lockstitch and bartacked at stress points. CONSTRUCTION
Elite issue coyote tan FROG USMC Protective Face Shield, one size fits most. It is brand new. The USMC Frog material is flame resistant and will not melt, is moisture wicking, anit-microbial and anti-odor.
The new FROG clothing is state-of-the-art military gear that is currently being issued to USMC troops to reduce flash burns from roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are designed with a band across the center of the face that can be raised up and down to drink, smoke, spit, etc., without having to completely remove the hood.
These are super-lightweight, breathable, and very comfortable to wear. They were made to withstand flames of short duration, so they are probably unsuitable for firemen whose protection must withstand several minutes. However, they would provide an additional layer against flame injury if used to supplement one’s primary protective ensemble. Perfect for a pit crew or others working with flammable and/or explosive substances. Add a few stripes and blotches with a magic marker, and they would supply comfortable, breathable face camouflage for hunters and paintball players.
