In 1976 the local paper noted that an arm of Dawn Enterprises, Inc. was established called Howard House. According to the paper it’s location was across from the tracks from the railroad depot in Blackfoot.
Howard House was used as a live-in training center to teach program participants how to maintain their own apartment, budget their money and make purchases. Residents would spend 6-9 months at Howard House.
On June 19, 1981 Dawn Enterprises, Inc. held a grand opening to celebrate the completion of a new building on the same property and called the facility Cedar Living Center. Licensed as a residential care facility, Cedar Living Center can house up to 13 individuals and allows opportunity to live as independently as possible in a safe environment.
